T-Scan
T-Scan is a tool that is used to evaluate the occlusion aka your “bite.” Many dental procedures can change the way you bite, like fillings, crowns, bridges and extractions. Unlike articulating paper (the stuff that makes blue marks on your teeth like carbon paper) & can only determine WHERE your teeth hit, the T-Scan can identify both force & WHEN your teeth hit, which is the most important part of your bite. That’s what makes your bite feel “off.”
Why use the T-Scan?
It reduces treatment time by easily identifying where & when you’re biting, especially when you’re numb! No more guessing if it “feels normal, which minimizes tooth loss due to adjusting the bite.
It will also help us extend the longevity of your restorations by making sure your bite is correct. It also ensures that you don’t have multiple unnecessary office visits for your bite after any procedures.
